I’m Fred McNamara, adventurer in the depths of popular culture. In English, that translates, roughly, as culture journalist. I’m a contributing writer for a variety of digital and print publications, covering comic books, films, TV and more.
My work has appeared on such websites as PopMatters, WhatCulture, Flickering Myth, Grovel, the Official Gerry Anderson Blog, ScreenRelish, and in such publications as Starburst Magazine, Andersonic and Comic Scene. My work has also appeared in anthologies published by Watching Books and Who Dares Publishing.
I’m also the senior editor for A Place To Hang Your Cape and am currently writing my first book, Spectrum is Indestructible, a critical celebration of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. You can discover more about the book by hitting the above tab.
You can check out a portfolio of my work here. I’m always on the lookout for culture writing projects to get involved with, so if you’re after a contributing writer, feel free to get in touch!
